PERSONAL GEAR LIST SUMMER CAMP
Please label items, especially water bottle, hat, towel & book
- Scout Field Uniform (aka Class A): shirt, neckerchief, hat, belt. For travel & morning and evening flags.
- Scout Activity Uniform (aka Class B): t-shirt and hat
- Other clothing:
- 3-4 additional t-shirts Scout-related if possible; no inappropriate words or images
- 2-3 additional pair shorts
- Daily underwear and socks + extra socks!
- Long pants must for Wilderness Survival MB; also for warmth/bad weather
- Jacket
- Rain gear
- Swimsuit
- Hat(s) – sun protection, beanie as preferred
- Close-toed and close-heeled shoes for into and around camp. Boots not required
- Flip flops, crocs or water shoes for shower.
- Hiking backpack
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Plastic bags and/or pillowcase for separating clean and dirty clothes and wet items. Tip: slip jacket inside pillowcase for a camp pillow
- Flashlight
- Pocketknife Scout can earn Totin’ Chip at camp if not already earned
- Toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, sunblock, insect repellent, and other items
- Towel
- Day pack or bag for carrying water bottle and other items to MB sessions
- Water bottle(s) holding at least 1 liter – label with name and troop #
- Simple mess kit of plate or bowl, fork & spoon We prepare one dinner at our site
- Prescription meds as appropriate in original container
- Scout handbook, notebook, pencil/pen, merit badge books Check our Troop library
- Winton Trail beads if attended in prior years
- Money for trading post
- Other items for merit badge, Trail to First Class or free time, such as camera, compass, fishing gear
- Pro tips: carabiners, wire hanger for keeping Class A shirt neat
